Koinup launch the 1st Second Life Steampunk Contest |
All Second Life Citizens are invited to take part in the contest and submit their entries! As said by Wikipedia: “Steampunk is a subgenre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used and mixed with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy”. Steampunk is firm, wide and prominent subculture in Second Life. There are many blog, groups, sims, islands, developers influenced by Steampunk Culture. Some of them are bringing this culture and philosophy inside SL. The Steampunk Contest is an hommage to this kind of culture and to the whole steampunk movement.
